Public Liability Insurance
As a member of the Armed Forces, thinking about the hazards of modern daily life, for example, slips, trips and falls by members of the public visiting your home or business, was, probably, the last thing on your mind.
Forces Advice provides competitive Public Liability Insurance policies for member of the Armed Forces (serving or otherwise) and their families.
What is Public Liability Insurance?
Public Liability Insurance (PLI) protects you if a member of the general public makes a claim against you for an injury or damage (usually to their property) sustained whilst you go about your specified business.
Common examples in civilian life might be:
• Somebody slips on a wet floor and there was no signage
• A property is damaged due an electrical fault
• A window cleaner breaks a window they’re cleaning
However, in military life, the risks are so much greater, and the potential for a claim is more likely in the event of an accident.
Whilst some types of incidents may sound trivial, unfortunately, the world is increasingly litigious, people can, and will, sue for accidents or damage – and it can be expensive.
A successful claim could consist of several components including:
• Loss of earnings after the incident and during any rehabilitation
• Legal costs
Who is it for?
Public Liability Insurance is not compulsory, but it is highly recommended.
As a member of the Royal Navy, Army or Royal Air Force, you demand and deserve the best protection, whatever the circumstances.
Forces Advice are proud to provide that protection.
How much does it cost?
Your personal circumstances will dictate how much your policy will cost, so why not speak to a member of our team for more details.
